Once you've been exercising for awhile, you should start increasing the intensity of your gym elliptical trainer workouts. Most ellipticals do have settings that allow you to increase the intensity to what suits you. If you slowly increase your intensity every couple of weeks, you will continue to get more and more fit.
Something you can do during a workout on your gym elliptical trainer is start at a lower intensity for about 5 minutes to warm up. Then move up the setting for the next 10 minutes. Then increase it again for 10 minutes. Finally, lower the intensity for your final 5 minutes to cool down. You'll burn more calories this way and increase your workout intensity.
